Steel is a timeless material for a bike due to its solid, comfortable ride, feel, and durability. The Satellite Comp is set up with a Reynolds 520 chromoly frame, carbon fork, Shimano Sora components, with rack and fender eyelets. It has a wide range of gear ratios with a 3×9 drivetrain, which is ideal for riding longer distances or with a lot of climbing, and also helps it make a swift commuter. The Satellite Comp is a great, versatile bike at just $949.
If the Satellite Comp doesn’t fit in your budget, we have the Satellite Sport as well. It’s based on a 4130 chromoly frame and fork, with Shimano 2300 components, and a 3×8 drivetrain. It also has full rack and fender eyelets and makes a great commuter or first road bike at just $695.
For riders who are doing shorter, faster rides the Ventura Comp delivers. It’s a similar value to the Satellite Comp, although geared for people who like a lighter, faster feeling bike. It’s based around an aluminum frame, carbon fork, and Shimano Sora components. It’s also outfitted with a double crankset and a wheelset with durable Mavic CXP 22 rims for just $950.
Coming in at just $725, the Ventura Comp is our base aluminum road bike. This model has the same fit and geometry as the Ventura Comp, only it uses an aluminum fork (rather than carbon) and Shimano 2300 components to create an affordable ride at a low price.
These bikes are not just great entry level road bikes, they’re also an excellent way to speed up a longer commute. We always have all four models in stock for you to check out. Next time you’re in, ask for a salesperson to set you up on a test ride.
