Cruiser Mountain Track Bike with a Disk Brake
Posted by Cambridgebicycle.com Blog Admin   •   Friday, 2008-January-25
I don't know if you could combine any more types of bikes into one unless you were Sheldon Brown himself. But GW has made a rather interesting Bicycle indeed. It started life as a cruiser with mountain bike style 26 inch wheels, but after GW threw down his $50 for it its life changed course. Now sporting 700c track wheels and an extra welded strut near the bottom bracket an Avid Juicy 7 disk brake now resides where normally most people would attach a 22 tooth granny gear. I got to ride this contraption myself and I must say it is much easier to skid when you can lock up the cranks with a 1 finger tug instead of the usual leg tactics. I doubt any manufacturers or brakeless fixed gear aficionados would get on board with this concept but I for one get excited when I see something totally different.
