Why we love EAI
Posted by Cambridgebicycle.com Blog Admin   •   Monday, 2007-November-19

Euro-Asia Imports happens to be one of our favorite companies to do business with. Why? Because their boxes show up looking like the staff has spent years in the euroasian mountains practicing their craft of packaging precision. Notice the clean lines of the packing tape and the thoughtful space utilization. Where most companies may throw a bunch of steel MKS toeclips into a box, EAI bubble wraps them! Whats missing from these pics is all of the crumpled newspaper that I had removed to take the pics. You cannot shake a Euro-Asia box unopened, and hear a peep. Maybe its the pinnacle of bike shop geekiness to appreciate this attention to detail, but I am happy to sell products that are gently hugged by crumpled newspaper, and listed on packing slips that are written by hand, with studied penmanship.

Highlights of this weeks fill-in: Blue suede Toshi double toe straps, Brown Toshi Bar tape, Sugino Zen chainrings in black, Nitto steel stems and track drops, NOS red anodized Mavic CXP-33's, and a fill in of the bombproof EAI cogs.

Return of the Cambridge Movie Night at Enormous Room
Posted by Cambridgebicycle.com Blog Admin   •   Friday, 2007-November-16

Who let the hippie into the Boston Bike Film Fest? Some of the chisled men in attendance included Tony Eberhardt, Kip Chinian, and Dick Ring. Everyone was pleased as punch to see the awesome short films that preceded the newish film, the Flying Scotsman. Much thanks go out to Dorothy and Jaffney who put their heart's into keeping our bike community on the up and up.

Don't wait 'til next year to hangout and watch bike films. Be at the Enormous Room on Tuesday the 27th for another Cambridge Bicycle Movie Night! The film featured will be the forever classic Breaking Away, and kicks off at 6:30pm. When its over stay for DJ's and their scrumptious menu. I said it...scrumptious!

This happened a lil' while back and we were slow to get it out to the world. How cute can two Iro's look together? Waaayyy cute! Like omgzzz foreallzz cute. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves to wake up from the dreamlike state that our super attractive customer base tends to envelop us in. Think: pink, fluffy clouds...sigh
Custom Freight Baggage!
Posted by Cambridgebicycle.com Blog Admin   •   Monday, 2007-November-05
We are extremely excited about our upcoming shipment of Freight Baggage Messenger Slings, Backpacks, Hip packs, and Top Tube Protectors. Each bag is lovingly hand made in San Fransisco by Travis Poh. Since Travis hand makes every bag he has offered us the opportunity to custom design our bags. This means we can choose the colors of the Cordura, Vinyl, Trim, Velcro, and even Stitching! So our last order, which is possibly on the way to the shop as I write this, was all custom designed by us right down to the thread. So stop by the shop in the upcoming week and hopefully the bags will be in. If you don't like the color schemes we picked out, or we have already sold the bag you wanted, we can make a custom order for you for a bag to your exact specification as long as you can wait the month or 2 turn around necessary for custom bags.
