Finally the wait is over. The super puncture resistant 700-28 white tires that dreams are made of are finally in stock. Hurry up and grab a pair before they go back into hiding. These elusive tires are great for all season riding and enjoy hiding in the snow and long walks on the beach.

New Bailey Works Backpacks About To Drop!!
Posted by Cambridgebicycle.com Blog Admin   •   Wednesday, 2008-December-24
We have some of the brand new Bailey Works Backpacks on the way and expect to see them within a week. It has been awhile since Bailey Works has done a backpack and it has been a widely anticipated release. We have been telling John Bailey to design a backpack for a long time and earlier this year he brought in the first prototype. Our own Jeremy Dunn has been using an early prototype of this bag now for the past couple months and is really into it.
There are 2 versions of the pack that are now available, the HUGE 2 strap work pack, and the small or large Citizen Pack.
The Two-Strap Work Pack’s sturdy shell features a combination of CORDURA™, Flashpoint, and Ballistic Nylon fabrics. The bag is fully waterproofed with their new Flashpoint lining. Complete with Flashpoint and CORDURA™ front bellows pockets, nylon mesh side pockets, thickly padded shoulder straps, and 1” adjustable nylon sternum strap.

Last Wednesday was the release party for Embrocation Volume 2.5 at the Middlesex in Cambridge. The New England Bike scene was out in force and the place was packed with the some of the biggest names in bicycles this side of the Mississippi. Soul Jams were flowing from the speakers and the dancing was unstoppable. T-Shirts from the recent Embrocation Design contest were for sale along with Vol 2.5 and some hand made tool pouches from Croth-Jackson. Snow Race Results!!!!
Posted by Cambridgebicycle.com Blog Admin   •   Monday, 2008-December-22
Huge thanks to everyone who made it out to Friday's Snow Race. We all had a blast and so many of you made it out with only about an hours notice. Cambridge Bicycle and Embrocation Cycling Journal gave out lots of cash money to the top 4 racers and every participant went home with either a Cambridge Bicycle T-shirt or cycling cap. The Top four racers and Top Lady are as follows.

1st Place- Peter Bradshaw $200
2nd Place- Tyler Sage $100
3rd Place- Jeremy Dunn $50
4th Place- Rob Gigantic $30
1st Place Lady- Lauren won a Fabric Horse Utility Belt

The Race started at Cambridge Bicycle at Midnight. Most of the racers took off south on Mass ave at full speed over the packed snow and ice. The first sketchy move was the turn off of Mass ave onto Beacon, coming off the bridge with some speed and then trying to navigate an icy, slushy turn was rather exciting. From there it was a pretty straight shot down to Boston, but the 35 mile per hour winds made it feel like the whole race was uphill. After touching the pole outside of Boston Bicycle the racers circled back to Cambridge for the win. Spirits were high and everyone was very friendly cheering the slower riders on as they past them going back. Jeremy Dunn did the whole race with his new HD video Camera taped to his handlebars so hopefully the video will be available soon, but for now check out the pictures from the event taken by myself, Andrew Snowden and Craig Roth.

New Freight Baggage Roll tops Coming Soon to Cambridge Bicycle
Posted by Cambridgebicycle.com Blog Admin   •   Saturday, 2008-December-20
Freight Baggage has just introduced a new Rolltop Backpack design and they will be dropping at Cambridge Bicycle in about a week, along with some of the regular Backpacks, waist packs, phone holsters, and top tube pads.
The new rolltop is based on the same design as the old backpack but with the obvious addition of the rolling top flap that ensures complete waterproofing with little attention needed. It has compression straps along the sides and bottom to allow for total compression when you aren’t moving all the possessions you own.
All backpacks come with padded back and shoulder straps, reinforced at the straps and at the base. They are waterproof, made of cordura nylon with vinyl interior. They have several pockets, cargo straps for big loads, compression straps when you don’t need all the room, waist strap, chest strap, pen holster, blink light clip, and a little handle to boot.
As always we can do made to order Freight bags where you can pick the cordura, inner vinyl, trim and stitching colors. Travis makes all the backpacks himself and we have been selling them faster than he can make them, so keep an eye on the blog to find out when they drop!
