New shipments: Bailey Works, Bell, and More
Posted by Cambridgebicycle.com Blog Admin   •   Tuesday, 2010-March-30

Today we've received so many boxes from so many places that our retail floor looked almost like a warehouse. Among the shipments were tons of schwag. Check it out:

Four boxes of sling bags and backpacks from Bailey Works! These bags are definitely a classic: waterproof, super durable, and light weight. They're perfect for students, commuters, and anyone looking for a great, comfortable pack.

Tons of one of our shop's favorite road tires: Serfa Secas. They come in a variety of makes, all of which have great flat protection and even hold up to fixed gear wear. We even got the Seca folding bead tires in various colors.

Check out this Paul Frank kid's helmet from Bell! We also got several boxes of adult-size road and city helmets as well. We've also got new helmets in from Bern - lots of them. Helmets need replacing every few years. If it's been a while, or if you've had a strong impact with yours, bring it in to have our staff inspect it.
New ortlieb shipment....check out the office bags with secure, dry laptop sleeves!

KHS Cidi 3 and Cidi 8
Posted by Cambridgebicycle.com Blog Admin   •   Monday, 2010-March-15

The Green, a steel three-speed by KHS, has had a place in our shop and hearts for years. It's inexpensive, durable, and comes with a rack, fenders, bell, and Dutch lock. It makes a great bike for getting around the city and is a joy to ride. For 2010 KHS has released two new models that represent an upgraded take on the classic Green: the Cidi 3 and Cidi 8.

The Cidi 3 and Cidi 8 are essentially Greens with aluminum frames and upgraded parts. They have Shimano Nexus 3-speed and 8-speed internal hubs respectively, as well as the usual trappings: rack, fenders, and front and rear hand brakes (as opposed to the Green's coaster brake). Best of all, they won't break the bank: the Cidi 3 is $439, and the Cidi 8 is just $659...making these bikes two of the most inexpensive internally-geared commuters on the market. Come in and try one today!
SE Draft and Draft Lite 2010
Posted by Cambridgebicycle.com Blog Admin   •   Friday, 2010-March-12

We've had 2010 models of SE's single-speed Draft and Draft Lite models in stock for a few exciting months. These bikes are designed to be city-friendly: they're durable, dependable, and inexpensive. If you're looking to commute, get to class, or run around town, on a bike for less than $400, these bikes are for you. Both come with three-piece cranks, fender and rack eyelets, front and rear brakes, and are supported by our shop with free tune-ups for one year.

The Draft costs just $299, and with a riserbar, micro adjust seatpost, toe clips, and a flip-flop rear hub, the Draft Lite costs $359. We have the Draft Lite in our window display. Stop by and check 'em out!
Fuji Track Classic SE in Stock
Posted by Cambridgebicycle.com Blog Admin   •   Monday, 2010-March-01

Just minutes ago a few bike boxes landed at our doorstep: the Fuji Track Classic SEFuji Track Classic SE in pearly white. This model is the same as the Fuji Track Classic, only with a 44 cm frame with 650c wheels. The standover height is just over 27" which makes it great for people below average height but still above 5'1" tall (or so). It's designed to take 650c wheels (rather than the larger standard, 700c), in order to make the bike easier to handle with a smaller frame.

We have three of these bikes currently. They're produced in limited quantities each year. If you're looking to purchase one, stop on by.
