Sightings from a recent trip
Posted by Cambridgebicycle.com Blog Admin   •   Tuesday, 2010-April-20
Last weekend I went for a (very short) trip on tour. First time riding ever with pannier bags. It was a 60 mile solo trip with a set of loaded rear panniers from Newburyport to the lakes area of NH to visit family. I was a little weary of stopping to shoot often due to headwinds, but here are some of the few images I shot (click for larger image):

Newburyport isn't a bad place at all to launch from on bikes. There is another train that actually runs through NH to Maine from Boston, but their bike policy is cripplingly inconvenient. You can make it to Mt. Washington in three days from Newburyport, easily. If you're looking to get north this is your season to be hitting the road. Who knows what you'll see?
New Raleigh Bikes in Stock
Posted by Cambridgebicycle.com Blog Admin   •   Saturday, 2010-April-17
We got in our first shipment from Raleigh Bikes this week. We're pretty excited about these new options available on our retail floor. Check out the new models:

Looking for a steel road bike under $1200 with a great groupset? Check out the The Clubman, a steel-frame road bike (Reynolds 520 CroMo) with a full Shimano Tiagra group, metal fenders painted to match the frame, and a Brooks Swift saddle.

Their single speeds, we have Rush Hour, a steel frame with either a flat bar or drop bar option. It also comes with a Brooks Swift saddle, Vittoria Randonneur tires, and a one-piece handlebar/stem on the flat bar model.

Another steel bike in stock is the Classic Roadster ), a laid back, upright hybrid with fenders, chain guard, and Shimano Nexus 3-speed hub.

For aluminum hybrids we're carrying are the high performance Cadent FT-1...

...And the Detox 3.5.

We only have limited quantities in stock for now, so swing by soon if you want to check them out. We can also special order sizes we don't have as well as other models from Raleigh. The Clubman and Rush Hour can be seen in our window display, and the others are throughout our retail space. As always, feel free to call ahead or stop by the shop for info on pricing and other questions.
The floods of march seems distant, the spring unfolds and there is no end to the sky.....
