We just received a size run of the new 2011 Coda Sport model from Jamis. The coda series is their tried and true line of flatbar steel hybrids, and this year the Coda Sport is better than ever.
Featuring a frame with Reynolds 520 chromoly tubing and a carbon fiber front fork, the ride quality of this bike is stupendous. It features fender and rack eyelets as well as clearance for tires over 40mm wide! This means you can scorch roads with the narrow, slick stock tires and then throw on a set of fenders and ‘cross tires for winter – not bad at all.
It’s drivetrain features a Shimano Deore rear derailleur and Shimano Alivio 9 speed shifters, which work very smoothly and reliably. Between the 9 speed rear cassette and triple crankset, there are plenty of gear ratios for riding under a variety of conditions and terrain. No wonder Bicycling Magazine just awarded it an Editor’s Choice.
We have the Coda Sport in stock for $725, as well as the basic Coda for $550. Beware, though, that these bikes fly off the shelves almost as fast as they fly on the road, so stop by soon for a test ride.
