First up we have the Fuji Declaration. This new for 2011 model has a double-butted chromoly frame and fork, front and rear brakes, rack/fender eyelets. As an added bonus, the bottom bracket and hubs on this bike come with sealed cartridge bearings. It also comes set up for freewheel or fixed riding. All this is only $549, too.
For those on a lower budget, the 2011 Jamis Beatnik is another flatbar single speed in stock. It features fender/rack eyelets, machined sidewall rims, and bolt-on wheels for extra security, all for $399.
We also have the Schwinn Racer – a single speed model with a strong hi-ten steel frame, riser bar, and bolt-on wheels. It has all the fun of skidding around on a track bike with almost none of the effort, and as a bonus, it comes with a top tube pad that matches the grips and saddle! For $285, it’s a good choice for a first bike or around-town cruiser.
