We just added two casual clipless shoes to our lineup: the Chamber and the Republic by Giro. The Chamber ($160, on the left) is a sneaker-style shoe for urban riders. It uses a two-bolt cleat pattern (Shimano SPD, Time ATAC, Crank Brother’s Eggbeater). It has the sole, durability and look of a skate shoe, only with a stiffer sole for riding.
The Republic ($150) is a commuter-friendly two-bolt shoe that’s easy to walk in and easy to wear into the office. It has an understated look, especially when compared to race-oriented shoes, and uses laces rather than buckles and straps which help give it it’s classic look. It’s still a shoe that proves itself on the road, and would be great for either touring, group rides, or longer rides. Both are in stock and ready to be tried on.
