Ben here. The days are getting shorter, the weather’s getting colder, and the sun’s officially setting an hour earlier in the day. Despite these changes, it’s my favorite time of year to ride. All the pesky bugs are gone and my summer kit has been nearly retired for winter. This week I found myself in the Middlesex Fells on my cross/commuter bike, mixing it up on the singletrack I normally ride on my mountain bike. The leaf cover added a new twist to familiar trails, hiding roots and rocks that are usually much easier to see. Before I knew it, the sun was setting and I had been out for over two hours. I was less than 10 miles out from home, but felt like I was much, much further away from my daily grind and seeing my favorite trails for the first time again..
We’re curious as to where the bikes that have come out of our shop have gone, what they’ve seen, and what stories they’ve helped create. If you have some stories and photos to tell about the bike you bought or rented from us we’d like to hear it. Maybe you’ve done a race or event, a tour, or maybe just have seen some interesting stuff on your commute. Send us an e-mail with your stories, photo, and video if you’d like to have them featured on our blog.
