Mario Cipollini represents all that is awesome about Italian pro cyclists. Mario is a superstar and he knows it. One part super sprinter, one part Italian model, one part greaseball. I beleive that the latter two traits enhance the former. Cipo defines flamboyance: at home on the podium or with a bevy of surgically enhanced models.
Recently, my teammate Natalia reminded me about Cipo’s sprint and the next day I ran across this Saeco cap in the basement.
As many of you know, Cipo and Saeco wrote the book on leadout trains.
This cap may have belonged to Mario, as he would have given it away, since I have never seen a photo or evidence of him wearing a cap.
