At our shop we always try to carry a few bikes that are worth of long-distance touring cycles. We just received the Jamis Aurora for 2010 yesterday, and it’s an extremely proper touring bike. What sets apart a touring bike from a standard road bike is all in the details: the Aurora is designed to be very reliable and comfortable to ride, especially when loaded up with front and rear panniers.
Aside from the relaxed geometry, Reynolds 520 chromoly frame and fork, double-eyeleted rims, and shimano Tiagra parts, this bike’s very easy on the eyes, too. Stop by to check the Aurora out and take it for a spin. We carry a couple other touring bikes and have tour-experienced staff members. We’ll try our best to make sure you’re properly outfitted for your next big ride.
