Want your bike to shoot lasers? Of course you do! While some may fantasize of this idea for more subversive means, the designers at Boston’s own LightLane have more practical uses for bike-mounted laser projectiles.

Months ago their design for a self-contained, laser-projected bike lane for night riding made the rounds of the internet. Recently, they created a working prototype of their concept and a video documenting it in action.
Compressed digital video and real-life experience are two different things, so I can’t really say whether this prototype will live up to its potential. As a concept, though, it’s pretty intriguing.
