Today I went for a long ride with members of the Embrocation Elite Road Team and other hardmen. With the high speeds, huge puddles concealing deep potholes, stubborn ice patches, run off and a surging group of excited riders it was a difficult ride. There were two flats, both PVB, and a number of near crashes. This is what I looked like after 70+ miles, notice the “road tan” on my shins:
