Toms generator light
There are many reasons to have a front light on a bike. When you’re riding at night visibility is important, and oncoming traffic have less time to see you than cars approaching you from behind. Additionally, especially in areas without street lights, the road itself is nearly invisible. A solid front light is a necessity to keep from hitting glass, pot holes, curbs, and the occasional skunk (I spotted one in Brookline around midnight last night!)

Our mechanic Tom recently purchased a generator light and front hub and built a new wheel for his commuter bike. He found a spot for it underneath his front basket where it not only lights up the road, but also makes himself visible to anyone else who may or may not be in his way. Come ask us how to get a light like this for your bike!
